Prof. Salam is an American Board Certified Consultant Radiation Oncologist with more than 22 years of experience in the field. She received her medical degree from the University of Aleppo. She completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Western Reserve Care System in Ohio and her residency in Radiation Oncology at Henry Ford Hospital System, Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute, and Mclaren Health System. Dr. Yanek received her certification by the American Board in Radiation Therapy in 2006. She joined the Neuro Spinal Hospital Dubai after serving in the leading Oncology Center in the USA, for the past decade.
Dr. Salam is experienced in a wide variety of precision radiation systems and equipment, including Stereotactic Brain and Body Radiation therapy (SRS and SBRT), Respiratory Gating technique for breast treatment, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), and 3D Radiotherapy.
Dr. Salam has published a diverse series of papers aimed at improving the effectiveness of various radiation systems.
Dr. Salam is known with her human touch care and support to patients who are suffering from cancer.
